"For Humanity" Charitable foundation, "After Matters" Foundation, and "Maple Leafs" Armenian-Canadian clinic has launched a Pilot project - "Postwar Traumatic Stress Recovery And Healthcare For Families of Wounded and Deceased Soldiers".

Our mission is to lift and empower the families of wounded and deceased soldiers. Our purpose is to aid the often-overlooked post-war recovery of families directly impacted by the September 2020 war in Armenia. We provide immediate-term Postwar Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) recovery and mental healthcare as well as diagnostics and preventative medical treatment for PTSD-associated escalation of chronic disease conditions.
US-based donors and Armenian-Canadian Maple Leafs Clinic initiated a pilot program in Ararat Province in early 2021.  The scope included over 400 beneficiaries comprised of 63% women (mostly mothers and wives of deceased or wounded soldiers) and 80% over the age of 40.

"For Humanity" Charitable Foundation and "Maple Leafs" Armenian-Canadian medical clinic with the help of the Canadian Fund for Local Initiatives completed the implementation of the project which aimed to support the rural population of Armenia with medical and psychological online support during COVID 19.

Victoria Health News has organized an enlightening program about the progress and the current results of the program which is being implemented by “For Humanity” charitable foundation and “Maple Leafs” Medical Clinic with the support of Canadian Fund for Local Initiatives.

With the high support of the Canadian Fund for Local Initiatives (CFLI) 'For Humanity' charitable foundation and ‘Maple Leafs’ Medical Clinic are implementing online supporting programs to rural communities. In the first stage of the implementation of the project online medical and psychological consultations have been organized via special mobile application in four selected villages of Armenia ( Lusarat, Norashen, Shahumyan, and Gai). The program is maintained to support rural populations during the crisis and post-crisis periods of COVID 19 when the country is in an emergency state and people are self-isolated.

With the support of the Canadian Fund for Local Initiatives, "For Humanity" Charitable Foundation and "Maple Leafs" Armenia-Canadian Clinic are implementing a medical and psychological online consultancy program in Gai village of Armavir province and Lusarat, Shahumyan, and Norashen villages of Ararat province in Armenia.

The goal of the project is to support the rural community members by free medical and psychological consultations, which are organized via a special mobile application.

On the 17th of July, 2020 the Doctor- Urologist Vardges Avagyan and Doctor-Cardiologist Pankaj Singh were hosted on the program "I am healthy" of the Public Radio of Armenia. The main topic of the program was the program, which is organized with the high support of Canada Fund For Local Initiatives, "Maple Leafs" Armenian-Canadian Clinic and "For Humanity" Charitable Foundation, and the cardiovascular diseases and COVID 19.

The program provides free online medical and psychological consultations for the people of rural areas of Armenia.

The COVID-19 virus is rapidly spreading all over the World as well as in Armenia and affects different people in different ways. COVID-19 is a respiratory disease and most infected people will develop mild to moderate symptoms and recover without requiring special treatment.  People who have underlying medical conditions (chronic diseases such as cardiovascular, diabetes, pulmonary, etc.), people with disabilities, and those over 60 years old have a higher risk of developing severe disease and death.

Common symptoms include:

• Fever
• tiredness
• dry cough

Other symptoms include:

• shortness of breath
• aches and pains sore throat
• change of smell and taste and very few people will report diarrhea
• nausea or a runny nose

'For Humanity' Charitable Foundation, with the high support of Canadian Fund for Local Initiatives and 'Maple Leafs' Armenian-Canadian Clinic is launching a program, which will provide psychological and medical assistance for the people who live in rural areas during the crisis period of the spread of COVID-19 and the post-crisis period in rural areas of Armenia.

On the 11th of March, 2020 Vardges Avagyan was hosted on the program “I am healthy” on the Public Radio of Armenia. The topic of the program was: What is considered to be a woman urinary tract infection? How are these types of infections diagnosed and treated?

On the 23rd of February, Vardges Avagyan, who is the founder and chairman of the board of trustees of 'For Humanity' Charitable Foundation hosted In the 'Dr.David medical TV show' program on the 'Kentron TV' Armenian Television.

On the 14th of February 2020 Doctor-Urologue Vardges Avagyan was hosted on the program "I am healthy" at the Public Radio of Armenia.

On the 29th of January, Elmira Martirosyan was hosted by the Armenian Public Radio on the program "I am healthy". She is the director and family doctor in Lusarat village. The radio broadcast was about forced abortions and their consequences.

In November 2019 there were organized seminars, lectures, and discussions in Lusarat, Norashen, and Shahumyan villages of Ararat Province and Gay of Armavir Province within the project.

The legal specialist Suzanna Sarkhoshyan and Psychologist Екатерина Айвазян-Ронова of "For Humanity" charitable foundation were hosted on the Public Radio of Armenia on the 13th of December, 2019.

Lusine Hovsepyan who is one of the Gynecologists of "For Humanity" Charitable Foundation and "Maple Leafs" Armenian-Canadian Clinic was hosted on the program "I am healthy" on Public Radio of Armenia on the 13 of November 2019.

Vardges Avagyan, who is the founder of "For Humanity" Charitable Foundation, was hosted on the program "I am healthy" on the Public Radio of Armenia on the 16th of October, 2019.

"For Humanity" Charitable Foundation, with the support of Canada Fund for Local Initiatives (CFLI) and “Maple leafs” Armenian Canadian Medical Clinic is starting a project that aims to raise awareness, competence, and confidence of women in rural families of Armenia, to inform them about their rights and their health protection.
