Progress of the online supporting program for rural community members

With the support of the Canadian Fund for Local Initiatives, "For Humanity" Charitable Foundation and "Maple Leafs" Armenia-Canadian Clinic are implementing a medical and psychological online consultancy program in Gai village of Armavir province and Lusarat, Shahumyan and Norashen villages of Ararat province in Armenia.

The goal of the project is to support the rural community members by free medical and psychological consultations, which are organized via a special mobile application.

Out of 5,230 participants from these four villages, 1,200 were selected, with a preference given to people over the age of 65 with chronic diseases, people with disabilities, families with a low social-economic status, or abused women.

The beneficiaries have the privilege to contact the call center via the mobile application any time and receive free consultations of narrow specialists about their health problems. The beneficiaries of the program have received and continue to receive online consultations from a cardiologist, general physician, endocrinologist, gynecologist, urologist, neurologist, psychologist, and other doctors.

This program allows people from the targeted groups to partially avoid direct contact by attending local ambulatories or hospitals, which reduces their risk of being infected with COVID 19, as well as reduces the spread of COVID 19.

As a result of the online consultations, the control by the doctors of "Maple leafs" Clinic and four ambulatories, the state of health of many patients have improved.

The next stage of the program will give an opportunity to the beneficiaries to pass medical examinations in their place of living.

We continue to support the rural communities to overcome the COVID19 pandemic with our entire team.

Let's follow the anti-pandemic rules, and overcome COVID 19 together.
